Honkai: Nexus Anima lore: where to start with the Codex
Follow the Sundering, Novarchs and Aspects through the Codex, then open the characters and ideas named in each passage.
Start with the word you encountered
Open the Codex and search for a term or idea from a conversation. Each card gives you enough context to choose an entry before opening its full passages. Searching for “Sundering” is a useful starting point when you want to understand references to the world before and after the Great Shattering. The search is kept in the page URL, so you can return to the same question later.
A filtered concept list keeps the matching reading destinations together.
Open the concept searchFollow a short reading path
Begin with Sundering, then follow the linked Aspect and Sovereign concepts. Read Plane and Novarch next to see how the vocabulary appears in descriptions of places and rulers. These links connect words that appear in the passages; they are a reading path rather than a quest sequence or a claim that one concept caused another.
Move from an idea to a named character
The Novarch entry mentions the 22nd Novarch and the 68th Novarch. Open a name to read the character’s own page, then return to the concept that brought you there. “Explore these names” collects the named people and Aspects from the entry, while “Connected ideas” stays within the Codex.
A concept page separates its reading summary from the game passages.
Open this conceptKeep a passage in context
Several passages can discuss the same term from different situations. Read them separately before combining their claims. A character’s reference to a missing Sovereign does not establish the identity or fate of that person, and a description of an Aspect does not establish a combat bonus. When your question concerns team selection, continue to the opposing Aspects guide and the team builder rather than treating lore as a combat formula.
Share the entry you are discussing
Each concept has its own address, such as the Sundering page. Share that address when a conversation depends on a particular term. It opens the same entry directly, without requiring a previous search or a long scroll through unrelated passages. This keeps a lore discussion attached to the words being discussed.
